Infectious disease of tuberculosis is picked up; every year into the trap of its 400 new cases in Albania. Doctors Specialists Hospital of Lung Disease “Shefqet Ndroqi” in the capital gave the alarm. On the World Tuberculosis Day, doctors have appealed for increased social programs in the northeast part of the country, where the number of those affected is greater, and after the level of poverty is much higher than in other areas. Thus, although for years Albania has declared war; the number of TB affected by this disease in the northeast part of the country continues to show resistance to tuberculosis.

The director of the National Program published the official number of people affected each year from tuberculosis disease in our country yesterday for Prevention of Tuberculosis, Hasan Hafiz. The latter stated that each year reported 400 new cases, mostly in the northeast part. For some years we are pleased with the progress of the disease in the country, after seeing that cases are down sharply, but the time has come for medical programs combined with social - is expressed Hafiz. According to him, the categories most affected by TB in the U.S. are the same ones that have been in years as the homeless, people with HIV, vulnerable groups such as Roma and Egyptian communities.

Ministry of Health has determined that for patients affected with tuberculosis, in addition to receiving free treatment in hospital, benefit and economic support. As sound as far as treatment of disease, according to the National Program for Prevention of Tuberculosis disease treatment for affected patients is contemporary, but the problem according to doctors, public awareness remains of the ill to continue treatment.  Fundamental problem that currently plagues us is the correct treatment of patients afflicted with tuberculosis, because if they deny themselves the death risk, but can be made and resistant to treatment. Attention should be on the continuation of treatment even though his treatment lasts very nearly 6 months, they should still be treated even when they see that they have no concern; - Hafiz explained. Four years, Albania benefits a fund of 1 million 260 thousand dollars to prevent the spread of tuberculosis. This has made our country not be one of the countries with the highest number of tuberculosis in the region.
