So, let's start this new series with the basics. The very basics. Are you wearing green underwear? Methaphorically green mind; I've no interest in the literal answer.
As blog post titles go, I’d say that got your attention. I was reading on GreenMe that ethical underwear is in vogue at the mo.
Think about it for a second. You have loads of pairs of underwear. A lot of them are probably cotton. And cotton is pretty detrimental to the planet. Although it covers less than 1% of the earth’s landmass, it soaks up 25% of all pesticides and herbicides. A single pair of cotton pants uses 10ml of pesticides. Pesticides, such as endosulfan which lead to reproductive and developmental problems in plants and animals leaving us all with our knickers in a twist (I couldn’t help it!)
So, what can you do?
Buy organic, fair-trade cotton underwear.

Isn’t there very unhealthy M&M creature sitting on your pants, Clare?
Thanks for the info Clare
