Forget me not

We are three months away from the United Nations summit in New York, the chance for world leaders to review the last ten years and plan for the next five, as we approach 2015, the deadline for the Millennium Development Goals.

We must not forget the goals and the people who are relying on us.

Now is the time to push even further, spread the word, and raise awareness.

What better way than with a film? Let people see and hear for themselves exactly why the 8MDGs matter.

I have just come across the film '8', 'a full-length feature film made up of eight short films each exploring, more or less straightforwardly, one of the Millenium Development Goals.' Films by Ane Champion, Gael Garcia Bernal, Gaspard Noe, Mira Nair, Gus Van Sant, Wim Wenders, Jan Kounen and Abderrahmane Sissako.

you’re definitely right about now being the time to re-double our efforts

Thanks for sharing these films. What do you think of them - and especially the one about HIV and AIDS?

Thanks for this Lara. It’s encouraging to know that there’s at least a global consciousness on the issues in the run-up to the summit.
