I have been quiet again. Slightly drawn away from the competition by other tasks and initiatives, so I hope you'll forgive me that. However after 4 months of insightful work our our Global Voices team, I am here to present the final report on state of transparency in various regions of the globe. Personally I was reviewing, and helping out in researching, Central and Easter European projects, so I treat this report as results of our local work. I would like to point out however that the topic itself if global, and rather complex. We started the Technology for Transparency Network with attempts to identify types of transparency and really understanding what the terms stands for - in relation to government, tracking of elections or maybe rather spending of money in various areas of life, taking the Aid as most classical example? Even after the initial talks with representatives of various projects in Poland, Slovakia and Hungary we are not sure if we have picked up everything. Maybe we have not managed to reach out to all great initiatives and restricted ourselves only to those related to government and NGO's transparency. Maybe. But we did our best, and I think we finalized it with some good, very crucial points.
Check it out here or by clinking on the title page below. Please note that it is released under Creative Commons, so we would love you to share it!:)
We have received support on second phase of the entire Technology for Transparency project, so the word only starts here. We have our own recommendations to refer to, and as you can suspect I will definietly get involved in ensuring the push for international collaboration, as I think it is crucial to share the successes and failures and bridge the language gap in the meantime.
I hope you will find the report useful and if you can - for the sake of our following steps - please let me know your feedback, impressions and thoughts. If you know examples of projects we have missed out in here - do let me know! We will do our best to contact them and include in this network as well. Thank you!

Hey, you’re back here!
I’ve been very interested in what I’ve heard about this project, so I’ll read this report very carefully. It seems really useful. I’m planning to start a crime-mapping project here in Venezuela, so I’m sure it will be very useful to me
Do you want me to put you in touch with our local researcher? I am sure you could both co-operate;)
Yes, absolutely, I’d love that! Thanks so much
Well, I’d say this is a great initiative to be “drawing you away,” Sylwia. Really interesting, thanks. I’d like to see how it continues to evolve, so please keep us updated!
I will, thank you for your support!:)
