Not as bad as I thought!

Before coming back to Latvia I was a little bit scared to see and feel the way living is here. But this weekend I was leading one youth seminar about traditional children games, youth activity in the rural areas and youth work as a method to create a better living.

People have optimism, fate for better change, future and life. Hope that one day there will be support and understanding for simple needs and a bit of stability. That social change and support available will not depend on external funding, with option to change without a wink.

People believe in what they are doing. And my feeling is that it is one of the most important ingredients for change to happen. Steady, but happen!

Thanks Aija for this optimistic post from Latvia! Actually, that’s more or less the same picture I had from the Baltic states in my last trip in the region last June, especially from Lithuania smile
