It is forty years after the first Earth Day. But why not this day for everyday? Why? One day can't change anything. We must fight for advocacy, climate change, education, energy, food and agriculture, water etc. for everyday. Did you read it? EVERYDAY!
Someone will ride a bike, someone wrote a blog post (like me
), someone using old paper for rough work to save paper, someone saving electricity by turning off the computer when I am not using them, and watching less TV.
But you can do this everyday, or not?

Please send me to comments, what do/did you do today?

I try to be kind to the environment everyday - reducing the amount I drive, turning off lights and appliances, buying local food etc. But, I’ve been reading a really interesting piece on how this doesn’t matter and won’t make a difference. It’s here (http://www.newsweek.com/id/236722?from=rss&utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed:+newsweek/TopNews+(UPDATED+-+Newsweek+Top+Stories)&utm_content=Google+Reader) if you’d like to take a look.
Interesting post. But I don’t like shopping
Here in the Philippines, I think it’s about 38 degrees celcius today. Sizzling hot. One can’t move much with this heat. What do I do to help earth?—turning off the lights, using less plastic bags and reducing the amount I drive if possible.
38? It’s to much degrees celcius! You must drink so much water for your health.
It’s true Jan. It’s sizzling hot.
Took the train to and from work - like I do every day. I don’t consider driving but I do consider biking in stead. While at work I did my share like the other ants in the local colony of my multinational corporation. Back home I wrote MDG press clips - week 16
while listening to Amon Amarth’s And soon the world will cease to be. And now, perhaps if I hurry up I’ll make it for a beer in the sunset.
